♥   Melbum Cringe Festival: Little Bands #1 AArts House, Nth MelbTown Hall, 521 Queensberry St 9pm-> Free.! The little bands‘ movement existed in the late seventies and early eighties as a way for ad hoc groups to  peform small amounts of material and then disband. The scene has been portrayed by Richard Lowenstein both as fiction, Dogs in Space, and documentary, We’re Livin’ on Dog Food. Presented by Melbourne Fringe and RRR, week one features members of The Emergency, The Bowers, Love Connection, The Ukeladies, The Devastations and Teeth & Tongue collaborating in homage to the period – producing new material, peformed once only. If they were also named in homage to the period, you’d be seeing Thrush and the Cunts and Jimmy Haemorrhoid and the Piles, but the spam filter says we can’t tell you that
